What we are looking for

We need an energetic web developer who is passionate about the web and proud of delivering high quality work.

We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in the field. You must have some practical experience coding in C# .NET as this is the language you would predominantly be coding in.

However, whilst the core competency required is a programming background we are looking for someone who can easily transition from coding in C# on one project to acting as more of a front-end developer on the next – taking a Photoshop PSD file and translating it to pixel-perfect HTML and CSS.

As a member of a small and growing team, you will also not be constrained with a rigid set of responsibilities and will have the freedom to be involved and grow in other development and non-development areas if you have the desire and initiative to do so.

Finally, we are looking for someone who enjoys their work and is excited about applying their knowledge. In other words, we don’t want a programmer who just follows directions. We want a programmer who comes up with their own ideas, suggests better ways of doing things and is adaptable to expanding their knowledge.

Who this role would suit

This role would suit someone who likes “trying a bit of everything” or wants to experience different facets of a web agency they perhaps were not exposed to previously.

Developers who have perhaps wanted to get a bit more insight into the entire project process would also find this role rewarding. This role will allow the developer to get involved with a project early in its lifecycle and they will not simply start their work when the design team is done.

This role would also suit someone keen to interact directly with clients and someone who aspires for a leadership role. As the company grows, this role will likely evolve into a more senior position.

Core Job Requirements

• Solid understanding of Javascript, HTML and CSS.
• Solid understanding of JQuery and AJAX.
• Some level of experience with CMS platforms.
• Ability to work to deadlines and detail oriented programming style.
• Some level of experience and interest in ASP.NET and C# development preferred.
• Some level of understanding of relational databases (mySQL, SQL Server 2005/2008)
• Great problem solving skills - ability to debug and identify root cause.
• Demonstrated understanding of web usability, web accessibility standards, web 2.0 technologies and design principles.
• Relevant university qualifications and/or additional certifications.
• Leadership qualities: Strong oral and written communicator.
